The Wollongong Foot and Ankle Centre was created with a vision to provide excellent, up to date, streamlined and affordable multidisciplinary care to the people of the Illawarra, all under one roof in a state-of-the-art facility.
Dr Meghan Dares is an Australian-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who specialises in surgery of the foot and ankle. She has extensive surgical experience having been involved in over 10,000 operations. Having gained international and local experience at prestigious hospitals in Australia, South Africa the UK, Dr Dares has been serving the Illawarra community for the last three years. In addition to operating at Wollongong Public hospital, where she is Director of Training for orthopaedics, she also has regular theatre lists at Wollongong Private and Day Surgery. She has previously been published in peer review journals and presented at national and international meetings on foot and ankle conditions
Dr Sheraz Anjum has recently joined our team and an Orthopaedic Surgeon with more than 15 years of of local and international experience. Dr Anjum is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the Australian Orthopaedic Association. Dr Anjum has a particular interest in minimally invasive (key hole surgery) and is skilled in ankle replacements and diabetic foot reconstruction surgery. Dr Anjum has an appointment at Wollongong Public Hospital and also operates regularly at Wollongong Private Hospital.
Tim Bransdon, owner of Wollongong Podiatry, has been serving the region for 10 years, constantly testing, innovating and developing new and improved ways to combat foot and ankle ailments for his patients. Tim is recognised domestically and internationally as a leader in his field, teaching his StrongFeet™ and Running Lab programs to practitioners and coaches.
